In 2020, Tammy of Dixon, Kentucky, age 37, debuted on “1000-Lb Sisters.” Before that, she and Amy, her sister, had popularity on YouTube due to their entertaining videos and a large number of followers.
The two sisters had a combined weight exceeding 1,000 pounds and faced challenges with weight loss and healthy eating. By 2024, they had made significant progress. The following provides a look at Tammy’s impressive journey.

Driven to make things better for herself, she accepted a difficult task. She spent 14 months in the Windsor Lane Center in Gibsonburg. There, she encountered her future husband, who passed away in 2023.
Following an operation near the end of 2022, Tammy’s current weight is 285 pounds (129 kg), reflecting a loss of more than 400 pounds (181 kg).

Tammy is recovering from the death of someone she knew. She’s communicating with the people who like her work on TikTok, posting clips and spending time with one cat she now owns. A significant medical emergency caused Tammy to prioritize her well-being, and she continues to motivate others.
Tammy’s weight caused several health problems. In November of 2021, she was in one hospital, using life support, and requiring one tracheostomy but made a full recovery.

During the final installment of the third season, aired in January of 2022, Chris Combs, her sibling, stated she had shed 115 pounds (52 kg) while in a rehabilitation facility located in Ohio. Following this, Tammy suggested her improvement through a TikTok update.
Two years prior, in January of 2020, her weight was approximately 600 pounds (272 kg). Her weight fluctuated considerably throughout the series. In more recent times, she displayed her reduced size poolside, accompanied by her acquaintance Haley Michelle.

Haley shared one picture of Tammy on Instagram. In the image, Tammy wore one navy blue swimsuit and appeared happy and at ease. Haley felt one sense of pride regarding Tammy’s accomplishments.
