LeBron James Acted as Matchmaker in Sauce Gardner’s Alleged Romance with Rapper Ice Spice

Sauce Gardner and Ice Spice have been in a relationship for some time now, but fans have long been curious about how the two first connected. Was it a storybook meeting like Taylor Swift and her current partner? Or perhaps something out of a romantic fantasy with Cupid pulling the strings?

The reality wasn’t quite so dramatic—but Cupid did make an appearance of sorts. Surprisingly, it was none other than basketball legend LeBron James who played a key role in bringing the Jets cornerback and the popular rapper together.

According to Gardner, it was the Lakers superstar and future Hall of Famer who helped spark the connection between him and Ice Spice. Rewind to last year, when Gardner appeared on LeBron’s YouTube series The Shop, alongside retired NFL star Chad Johnson and rapper Travis Scott.

Up to that point, the show had featured mostly male guests, but the dynamic shifted when Ice Spice joined the conversation, taking the seat right beside Sauce. While nothing major happened on set, things started to develop between them once the cameras stopped rolling.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Gardner revealed that it was James who played matchmaker, introducing him to the 25-year-old artist. From there, the chemistry was natural—they quickly bonded over shared interests and hit it off.

We just be having a good time. Two young individuals … she’s from New York, I play in New York. We got a lot in common.

The lovebirds have been enjoying each other’s company ever since. Spice shared a mirror selfie with her beau.

Gardner even took Spice to the Knicks and Celtics game in May.
